SAGEON

Privacy policy

Last updated: 9 July 2026

Sageon Performance Coaching (“Sageon”, “we”) provides a coaching platform connecting coaches and their clients. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights. We are the data controller and can be contacted at blake@sageon.co.uk.

What we collect

  • Account details - name, email address, phone number and password (stored as a secure hash).
  • Health and fitness data - workouts and lifts you log, bodyweight, body measurements, progress photos, benchmark results, habits, sleep and energy ratings, and check-in responses. This can include date of birth and onboarding notes (such as injuries) shared with your coach.
  • Nutrition data - meals you log, including photos of food you choose to submit for analysis.
  • Messages - texts, photos, voice notes and form-check videos exchanged between you and your coach.
  • Payment data - handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we store your subscription status and Stripe references.
  • Technical data - push notification subscriptions (if you enable them) and standard server logs.

We do not use advertising trackers or sell your data. We do not collect your location.

How we use it

To deliver the coaching service: your coach sees the data you log so they can programme your training, set your nutrition and review your progress. We also use your data to operate the app (authentication, notifications, billing) and to respond to support requests.

AI food analysis: when you submit a food photo or description, it is sent to Anthropic (our AI provider) to estimate its nutritional content, and the result is stored in your log. Photos are used only for this purpose.

Who processes it

Your data is stored and processed by a small set of providers acting under contract: Supabase (database, file storage and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email) and Anthropic (AI nutrition analysis). Some providers process data outside the UK; where they do, transfers are protected by standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

If you train with a coach on Sageon, that coach sees the data you log through the app. Your coach must not share it further without your consent.

Legal basis

We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the service you signed up for), and health-related data you choose to log on the basis of your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time by deleting the data or your account.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account - and everything in it, including photos, videos, messages and logs - at any time from Account → Delete account in the app. Deletion also cancels any active subscription and is irreversible. Residual copies in encrypted backups expire on the backup cycle.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and request a copy in portable form. Email blake@sageon.co.uk and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).

Age

The service is not intended for anyone under 16. Clients aged 16-18 should only use the service with a parent or guardian’s agreement, arranged through their coach.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect.
